Aww. Do I have to? Alex asked, sounding like a little kid that had just been told to do something he didn't want to do.

Audrey hopped out of the car, very excited to get her present. She was a little upset that there was still no snow on the ground on her birthday, but, there was still time. She walked inside and sat on the couch.

Alex walked into the house. Hold on, I'll be right back down. He said, before going upstairs. Not long after he came back downstairs with Audrey's present.

Yes I did, it's your birthday. Friends can't give friends nothing on their birthdays. Alex said. He gave Audrey the wrapped necklace.

Audrey just gave him a sweet smile. She unwrapped the gift. She then slowly opened the red velvet case. "Oh my God..." she murmured softly as she looked at the gift.

Is that a good "oh my God" or an "Oh my God, it's ugly"? Alex asked Audrey.

Audrey very delicately took the silver chain with the diamond heart pendant out of it's box. "It's beautiful..." she murmured softly. She then just looked at Alex. "It's gorgeous. How much did you spend on it?" She was amazed that Alex would buy her a necklace with obiviously real diamonds on it. It was unbelievable.

Alex was glad that Audrey liked the necklace. I don't tell people how much money gifts were. he said. It had been quite a bit of money, but Alex had had enough for it.
