CJ walked down the isles of the barn. A horse in each hand. Both stocky, grey Quarter Horses walked easily along, following their owner. CJ sighed softly as he led one into a stall. He threw the navy blue lead rope over their neck as they walked in, so he could put the other in his stall. He closed the gate for a moment and led the other grey to his stall. Taking off his championship halter, with a name plate that said: Rodeo & CJ McRee Roping State Champion He hooked it onto the bridal mount and walked abck to his otehr horse. Unclipping his navy blue halter and hanging it on the bridal hook infornt of his stall. She began walking back towards his trail to get some tack, but he accidently bumped into someone. Im sorry. He told the person before him. He lifted off his hat to see a familiar face. But it wasnt a good familiar face. Well it sorta was. He loved seeing her, but she was the reason for his heart break. He gave a soft smile and looked to Ava, not even wanting to make eye contact with her. He gently walked past her towards his aluminum stock trailer.

Ava walked down the aisle, carrying the large, heavy bag of horse feed. She felt somebody bump into her. She dropped the bag and some feed spilled out onto the floor. Ava sighed. It had been a long day. She dusted some spilt feed from her jeans and picked the bag up again. "It's okay..." she replied. She looked up at the man who bumped into her. She felt incredibly awkward. She hadn't seen CJ in over a year, and since then, she'd been going out with Kyle. She was in love with him. Though, CJ would always be her first love. She never really got completely over him. Ava didn't know what to do. She cleared her throat awkwardly. "I better go put this in the feed room..." she said, awkwardly.

CJ nodded gently. He had taken her advice and quit bull riding, but when he came back to Australia to start over, she was gone. He was left heartbroken and alone. He sighed slightly, walking intot he tack compartment of the trailer and opening the door. He got out two saddles, carring one in each on his hands. He walked into the tack room, placing them on a saddle rack and sighed slightly. He hadnt expected her to be here, not at all. It was to late to go anywhere now, everything was already here. He sighed deeply, almost fustrated with her.. But he wasnt going to say anything about it.

After Ava put the feed where it was supposed to be, she walked over to Cloud's stall. The pretty Andalusian was prancing impatiently. She let out a low nicker and nudged Ava's forearm. Ava smiled and rubbed the mare's soft muzzzle. "Hey girl." she murmured. Ava grabbed Cloud's baby blue halter and slid it over her head. She then clipped on the matching lead rope. She unlatched the stall door and lead Cloud to the cross-ties. She clipped the skittish mare in and began to brush her smooth coat.

Across the hall a big grey nickered happily towards Ava. Rodeo rememered Ava of course. CJ would either talk about her. And sometimes Ava would come visit when they lived back in Australia. But CJ and Ava used to talk in the pasture and Rodeo remembered Ava's voice most of all. The sweet grey nickered softly, stretching her head over the stall to try and reach Ava. CJ stepped out from the tack room to see what all the fuss was about, and couldnt help but smile and laugh softly at the sight of Rodeo.

Ava smiled. She gave Cloud a gentle pat and made sure that she was secure in the cross-ties. Cloud had a habit of pulling at them. "I'll be right back." Ava told the mare. She walked over to Rodeo and held her palm out to him. "Hey boy. Remember me? I didn't know you were coming to live at my barn." she told the massive Quarter horse. She gave him a gentle pat on the neck.

CJ sighed softly. He was going to swallow his sorrow. He shouldnt still be hurt by it all should he? It was his own fault she left right? He walked towards them and sighed softly. Why wouldnt he remember you? He asked softly. He reached the stall and looked to Rodeo. His other grey horse poking his head out of hte stall and looked to CJ. He nickered softly.

Ava smiled. She blushed awkwardly. "I dunno...I just didn't think that he would..." she mumbled. "So what are you doing here?" she asked, fairly quietly. She ran her fingers through her wavey brown locks and smiled, slightly nervously.

He shrugged slightly. There was nothing left for me in Austrailia after I quit. He said slightly quiet. He sighed softly and looked to her then to Rodeo. He smiled softly and thought for a moment. And Anthony moved here acouple months before the Season ended. He told me about it. And I moved. He replied, putting the story short and sweet. He basically moved her for his long time friend Anthony. He smiled slightly looking to her, then to Rodeo.

"You...you quit?" asked Ava, quietly. After CJ and her kind of, broke up, she waited around for a few weeks. She didn't hear from CJ and she didn't call him. She didn't see him around either. She figured she might aswell move back to her family's stable.

He nodded gently. She was right. It wasnt worht loosing everything over. And he had learned it the hard way. He smiled softly and ran his hand down his other horse Shady's, face. Yeah.. I came to my sences. He replied. Though he started raising bucking bulls on his ranch, he no longer rode them. Only sometimes at home he would get on a practice bull for aspiring riders.

Ava smiled. "Oh..." she murmured, not knowing what else to say. "So you've got another horse, I see." she commented, awkwardly. She was trying to change the subject. She no longer had her own horses. Faith got colic and passed away and because Savannah hated being in trailers or transported by plane, Ava sold her to a woman who took care of horses with those sort of issues.

He knew that quitting Bull Riding would be an awkward subject, so he was happy to see it leave. If she ever wanted to talk about it then they could sometime. But it just didnt feel that right, right now. He nodded gently and smiled. He bought Shady from a woman. And Shady turned out to be Rodeo's son. Yeah. Shady. He is my new roper. He replied with a slight smile. The grey was only three, but Rodeo was starting to become a seasoned Pro. And CJ loved fresh young horses because they had more speed and were more agile. Of course he would keep Rodeo, but he was starting training on Shady for now.

"Cool." said Ava with a smile. "I have Danny, Cloud, and Star right now. I've had Danny forever. He was used as a school horse but he had a tendancy to throw, buck, rear, and bite. So I decided to use him as my horse. He's an amazing jumper and we've got him trained so he won't buck or anything, but he still bites other horses. Cloud's the greyish one in the cross-ties. She's kind of skittish but she's really sweet. And Star's just a great girl. She does everything I tell her." she said.

He smiled and nodded. I just have these two as my ropers. I did have another Paint gelding, but I sold it to Anthony. He said he had to have her. He said with a slight laugh. His hands ran up and down the grays forehead. Shady loved it.. CJ smiled slightly. This one is in traning for next year or the year after. I still havnt decided when I am going to retire Rodeo, but he is getting to old for the arena and I will probably just take him home to work the cows off of. He replied. He had a few more horses at home, but that was only for the ranch. He looked to Ava then to Rodeo whom had went back to just standing boredly and looking out his stall window.
