"I don't know why some people even get pets. You shouldn't get one if you're not an animal lover, vene if your kids are bugging you about it. I'm pretty lucky 'cause Daddy loves dogs and cats and horses and everything like that. Mum was an animal lover too, though, she was a little scared of birds and rodents." Juliet said with a slight smile at the end. Juliet was a little freaked out by birds too.

Ted smiled. "Everyone in my family loves animals. Dad claims that he doesn't, but he takes in the stray cats that we get and he loves them." He said. His dad claimed that he didn't like cats, but it was obvious that he loves Rufie and Abby, but when questioned about it he would just say, It's a cat or something like that. But he never actually said that he didn't like his cats.

Juliet giggled. "After our old mutt, Sadie died, Daddy swore that we were never getting another animal. Mum and me went to the breeder a few months later and picked up Jenna and now he's like in love with her!" she said with a smile. Mr. Winters didn't want another animal because it was too sad when they died, but he couldn't say no once they brought Jenna home.

Ted smiled. "That's great that you got another pet. I know that we're not supposed to get any more pets after ours are gone because Wolf doesn't like the messes they make, but we will. There's no way we can't get more animals." He said.

Juliet laughed. "People always seem to pretend that they don't want the animals but we all know that if the animals weren't there they'd be really upset. My cousin didn't like animals too much and when his sister and her baby daughter got a cat, he claimed he didn't like it. When it got killed by some neighbourhood dogs, he locked himself in his room and cried for the whole day!" she said.
((true story))

Ted smiled a bit. "That's nice, but it's not nice at the same time." He said. It was nice that he did like the cat, but it wasn't nice that he had locked himself in the room and cried for a day or that the cat had been killed.
((That sucks!))

((I know. Kayleigh was upset. So were my cousins and uncle and aunt.))
Juliet nodded. "I felt sorry for him. None of us knew he liked Horace that much." she said. "And they didn't have him for too long. Only a few months. He ran out one night and some rottweilers killed him."

Ted listened to her talking. "I don't like rotweilers much, I don't know why I just never have liked them nearly as much as some other breeds. Along with pugs, chiwawas, and poodles."

Juliet smiled. "I love dogs, but I don't like certain breeds. I would never get a Rottweiler or Pitbull or anything like that. I know people always say that it's the owner not the breed, but, I still don't really trust them." she said. She would never hurt one, but she would just never get one.

"When we went to Calgary last summer, we stayed at my cousins girlfriends house for one weekend and she had a couple of pitbulls. Aria and Chomper." Ted said, "They were great dogs, they would never hurt anyone. But still I would never get one. Plus I'm not sure if they are here, but they're not allowed everywhere else I've lived." He said.

"I don't think they're allowed here. There's apparantly a pitbull ban in Ontario. My cousin has two pitbulls too. Fire and Bully. They're adorable but my cousin's pregnant now, so I dunno if I would trust them after the baby's born. They might get jealous and with pitts you really shouldn't take the chance." said Juliet.

"I wasn't sure if it was all of Ontario or not. I thought I had heard that there was a region where they were allowed." He said. "If I did have a pittbull I think I would definetly get rid of it if there were chidren expected in the house." He said.

Juliet nodded. "I would hate to give up my dog but if I had a fighting breed like that, I would definately find it a better home before I had my baby." she said.
((my pregnant cousin has 2 pitbulls and a lil terrier thing. her parents hav 8 rottweilers! i wud not like that!))

Ted nodded. "The baby could like poke it in the eye or pull it's tail or something while playing and then he could just snap." He said.
((Wow! I wouldn't like that either!))

((i know!))
Juliet nodded. "And when they snap, it's not like a normal dog, that might leave a bruise or at the very most, need some stitches. When they bite, they rip you apart!" she said.
