Alex felt reallly bad for Audrey. It was obvious that she was embarassed that she was crying and he was there to see it. He wanted to do something, anything, to make her feel better, but he knew she didn't exactly like him so he wasn't totally sure what to do.

Audrey sighed. She turned around and looked at Alex. "You were right." she said through tears. "I shouldn't have gotten attached and I did and now look at me! I can't do this if it's going to be like this! They don't teach you how to deal with deaths like this at medical school! I just don't want to do this anymore..." she sobbed.

It's not always this hard. Now you know not to get too attached, and you can't just quit because of one bad experience. You are a great doctor, you just can't save everyone. Alex said.

Audrey took a deep breath. "I could have tried harder. I could have looked into more treatment options. Tried new medication. I didn't do it though." she sobbed.

Even with the other treatments her chances wouldn't have been that great. You did more than most doctors would anyway. You did more than enough for her. Alex said. And you cared about her which her parents liked, they know that you did everything you should have and didn't take any shortcuts or anything.

Audrey took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and wiped her cheeks. "It just...I feel like I could have done more..." she sobbed. She turned and buried her head against Alex's shoulder. She knew they didn't always get along but she needed him right now.

You did just about everything you could. Alex said. He hugged her when she burried her face in him. He hated seeing people cry.

Audrey started crying even more. She hugged Alex tightly. She rested her chin on his shoulder. "Alex, I'm so sorry..." she sobbed. She felt so bad for acting so bitchy around him. He really was sweet. This was also the first time she called him Alex. Usually she called him Wilhelm or referred to him as Dr. Idiot.

Alex just let her cry. Sometimes people just needed to cry and not be stopped or anything. Don't worry about it, it's okay. He said softly. Finally she had called him something other than Wilhelm, she hadn't ever really called him Dr. Idiot to his face.

Audrey leaned back slightly so that she was looking Alex in the eye. "No. It's not okay. I've been so bitchy around you and uptight. It's just, the other doctors here treat me like I need to be babysat and so did all the people at med school. You're the only one here I actually like, even though it doesn't seem like it." she told him. She wiped her eyes. She meant like as a friend. There was absolutely no way that she liked the annoying, skinny, doctor as anything more.

((God I hate those skinny doctors. lol. I like the fat ones.. lmao!))
Alex knew she meant only as a friend. You're one of the only doctors I like here, most of them are too arrogant and cocky. He said, they got the job done but he still didn't like them. They were only doctors for the money, unlike him who was a doctor to help people. The money was just a bonus.

((lmao! the fat ones are jolly!))
Audrey nodded and just stood there, hugging him for a while. "Alex?" she asked softly, once she had stopped loudly crying. She was still breathing heavily but she was okay. "Do you believe in heaven?"

((Definetly. lol))
Yeah, I do. I'm not so sure I believe in hell, but I do believe in heaven. Alex replied. He was catholic, he never went to church or anything, but he had gone to a catholic school and all that. He didn't see why God would let Satan open his own place for the bad people, so he wasn't so sure about hell, but he did believe in heaven for sure.
((lol))

((lmao!))
Audrey snuggled against him. "My father never did..." she said softly. Her, her brother, and her mother all did, they were Catholic. Her father was also a Catholic but he wasn't the greatest person in the world. She knew that Allison would definately go to heaven.
((lol))

Alex didn't reply to that, he didn't know what to say. He just continued to hug her. It felt nice, she fit in his arms well.
