Kyle walked through the barn. He had had a long day. first he had ridden Lyle which was normal and no problem, but then he had gotten sucked into riding Teddy for Jackie which hadn't been that fun, unless you liked the taste of dirt, and then he had gotten soaked and bitten while hosing off the Thoroughbred. Then he had had to walk Teddy outside and Teddy had yanked his lead out of Kyle's hands and stepped on his lead shank and tried to rear. It hadn't worked that well and had scared the poor horse. Kyle had had trouble catching him after that, and was glad that he was in the paddock and not outside. Then his car had broken down and he had had to have his dad out to fix it and he had ended up having to take it over to his friend, Mark's house to work on it. Kyle hadn't gotten it back yet and had stayed at the stable all the while. Kyle walked into the hangout room and sat down on the couch, relaxing right away. The couch was comfy and he had been on his feet all day. He looked over at the door as it was opened..

"Hey." said Ava with a smile. She walked over and sat next to him. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. She ran her fingers through her hair. She had had a pretty long day. She had to ride Dannny, Star, and Cloud. Then she had to lunge Daisy the school pony and Doc, the old school horse. Then there were lessons. She had to teach some young beginners on ponies which was always fun to watch but wasn't all that fun to teach. They were constantly dropping the reins or stheir feets were slipping from the stirrups. Then she had to teach the older beginners which was a bit better but it was hard to stand on your feet for an hour after being so busy for the day. Then came the chores. She had to feed her horses, as well as groom them and muck their stalls. She was exhausted.

"How are you?" Kyle asked.

((lol kk np))
Ava smiled. "I'm feeling better now but I'm exhausted. I've been on my feet all day." she said. She leaned back on the couch and crossed her right leg neatly over her left leg like she always did when sitting in a chair.

((lol, back now obviously!))
Kyle smiled. "I had a pretty tiring day myself. Riding Teddy is never tiring, and as many times as you taste dirt it doesn't get any tastier. I'm glad that Lyle doesn't act up nearly as much as Teddy." He said.

((lol))
Ava laughed. "Luckily, Cloud behaved for me today. Danny on the other hand, bit Doc and nearly kicked Chief in the ribcage. Chief got too close to him and Danny just freaked. Chief was terrified and started to gallop and rear and I had to calm him down, put him in the other pasture and then take Danny inside. But people should know better then to turn other horses out with Danny, especially males. I'll have to talk to the grooms." she said, a little exasperated with everything that happened.

Kyle smiled. "I thought just about everyone knew not to turn a horse out with Danny." He said, "It's safer for everyone that way."

"I know. It's written right on the whiteboard on his stall door. We have some new grooms though. They must have just grabbed Chief and put him in the nearest pasture. I'm just happy that Chief wasn't hurt." she said. Chief dodged Danny's kick in time. It was a good thing Ava was there or the horses may have gotten into a scrap.

Kyle nodded. That could have been disastorous. "It is a good thing that you were there. There might have been some serious problems otherwise." He said.
((BRB! lmao))

Ava nodded. "Danny nearly ran me over when I went to get Chief. The poor thing was terrified of Danny. I just put him in the other pasture and Danny started to pace up and down along the fence, glaring at Chief. I'm thinking of selling Danny. A riding school is no place for an anti-social horse like him. I think a farm where they have other animals or only mares will be better for him." she said.

Kyle nodded. "The last barn I was at there was a mare who would kick and bite whoever invaded her space but she could be turned out with other horses. They knew to stay away from her and she wouldn't corner them and try to fight. Danny on th eother hand can't have other horses with him." He said.

Ava nodded. "He's not bad around amres. he won't kick or bite them but he's not overly affectionate and if they try to be with him, he'll flash his teeth and pin his ears. With geldings or stallions he doesn't give them any warning. He just attacks. He needs to be trained and I've been trying so hard but it just doesn't work. He's grown up with tons of other horses and he's always been like this. I don't get why he's such a jerk." she said.

"Some horses just like to be alone. I dunno why though, they are herd animals and usually do better in groups." Kyle said.

Ava nodded. "Danny's parents were sweet and they were really friendly around people and horses. I think that Danny is just way too dominant for his own good. He thinks he's the boss and he always tries to pick fights." she said.

Kyle nodded, "That makes sence." He said, if Danny thought of himself as the leader, like a stallion in a herd, he wouldn't want any other males around, except maybe foals. And he wouldn't mind mares as much.
