Ana stood in the mall with her daughter, Samantha. Ana's friend was selling chocolate bars as a fund raiser and had asked if Samantha could try to sell some. They were really overpriced, but Sam was cute so she had sold three already. She was just walking up to random people that walked by and asking if they wanted to buy a chocolate bar. Ana was keeping a close eye on her, but Sam wanted to do it all on her own so Ana didn't interfere. She sold another chocolate bar and the lady that had bought it stood in front of Sam. Sam was leaning back a little bit. "Why are you standing like that? Normally people stand up straight, not leaning back," the lady said to Sam. You have a really big butt. Sam answered. Ana heard what Sam had said and walked over. Sam, that wasn't a nice thing to say. Apologize. She said to Sam. But it's true. Sam argued. Ana gave her a look and Sam decided just to listen to Ana and not argue. I'm sorry. Sam said. The lady just walked away. Even if something is true, some things you just don't say. If it has anything to do with having a big butt, being fat, or anything like that, don't say that they do have a big butt or whatever. Ana said, once the lady was out of earshot. But mommy, that's lying. Sam said. Sometimes it's okay to lie. Not if it'll get you into trouble, but if it makes someone feel better. Ana explained to Sam. Sam didn't look like she totally understood what Ana had said. Can I still sell chocolate bars? Sam asked. Yep, just don't forget your manners. Ana replied. Sam smiled and went a little ways away from Ana, but not too far. She saw a man and walked over to him. Hi! Would you like to buy a chocolate bar? There are no nuts, and you can buy one for $2.50, or you can get a deal and buy two for five dollars. She recited, then she waited for his answer.
((lol, my cousin Meaghan was selling chocolate bars and it said right on the box that one is 2.50, or two for 5 dollars. lol!))

((lol! thats no deal! its the same price! 2 x 2.50 = 5! )) Sawyer walked through the mall. He had just come here to pick up some tools from Sears and happened to buy a pack of cigarettes from the corner store. He sighed and rolled his eyes as the little girl asked him if he wanted to buy some chocolate. "No thanks..." he said, in his heavy Tennesee accent. He stopped and looked at the girl. "I don't want no chocolate." He reached into his pocket, took out a cigarette and lit it. He began to smoke.

((I know! lol, but Meaghan was walking around telling people that they could get a deal by buying two. lol))
Okay. Sam said. Quite a few people had told her no that day so she was used to it by now. She looked at his cigarette, Are you allowed to smoke here? She asked. She knew that there were lots of places that smoking wasn't allowed.
((They sell tools at Sears? I know that they sell Grad dresses, furniture and stuff, makeup, clothes, bathroom stuff... But I never knew they had tools. lol))

((lol! aww! )) Sawyer shrugged. "Don't know, don't care. It's a free country. I'll smoke where I want to." he muttered, taking another puff. ((the one in the pickering town centre does! ))

((lol!))
Yeah, but you're not allowed in some places so people don't die. Sam said.
((Nice eh?))
((I'll have to look next time I'm there. I haven't really looked for them, I stay in the clothes section. lol))

Sawyer sighed and rolled his eyes. He looked at the little girl. "And who are you little lady? The smoking police? Call me when you have some authority." he muttered.

Sam was about to say something but Ana came over, seeing that Sam was bugging the man. Sweety, and you bugging this man? She asked Sam. Sam nodded, But he's smoking and that's gonna kill people. She said seriously. Ana smiled, Sam, it's none of our business. He can smoke here if he wants to, and if he gets in trouble it's his problem. It's nice that you don't want people to die, but you have to leave him alone. Go see if anybody else wants to buy chocolate bars, we have to get going soon. She said. Sam nodded and ran off to sell more chocolate bars. Sorry about her, she doesn't know when to leave people alone or when to keep her mouth shut. Ana said to the man. Sam was so much like her dad, Ana felt like her ex-fiancee was living through Sam. Sam even looked a lot like him.

Sawyer shrugged. "At least you raised an honest girl. She's cute...just very obnoxious..." he said, in a slightly grumpy way.

Ana wasn't sure how to take that. His grumpy tone kind of threw her off.

Sawyer sighed and took another puff of his cigarette. "Ya mind if I go sweetheart? I kinda got business to do that don't involve buying any of your daughter's overpriced candy bars." he said.

It sounded kinda like drug business. Yeah whatever, go ahead. Nothing is keeping you here. Ana said. There was something about this guy that she didn't like much.

Sawyer turned and began to walk away when he was stopped by a security guard. "Uh sir, you can't smoke in here. It's against the law. Any public place in Ontario is now smoke-free." he said. Sawyer rolled his eyes. "Well I ain't from these parts. I'm from Tennessee and down there, everything goes. Seems like you hosers run a pretty tight ship up here. What got you so strict? Beaver murder your mama?" Sawyer asked, very sarcastically. The security guard was not impressed. "You just better throw that thing out or you're coming with me." he warned. Sawyer tossed his cigarette in the garbage can. "Well I wouldn't want to go anywhere with you would I? You might just yell at me. How terrifying!" he said sarcastically. The security rolled his eyes and walked away muttering. Sawyer laughed.

Ana overheard what was being said. Now she knew she definitely didn't like this guy. She rolled her eyes and walked over to Sam. Sweety, it's time to go now. How many chocolate bars did you sell? Ana said to Sam. I dunno. Sam said. Ana smiled and counted the chocolate bars left, You sold nine. Ana told Sam. Then together they walked out of the mall.
